Designer: Massimo Giacon, Marcello Jori
Massimo Giacon and Marcello Jori merge their artistic talents in a special project that for the first time bears both their names: the Happy Eternity Baby crib. Both designers have already created a wide range of Christmas decorations, offering highly original takes on traditional festive baubles: from the unique Crib-Baubles by Jori to the poetic figures by Giacon. With Happy Eternity Baby they deliver yet another surprise, with an object that embodies the rich emotional content of their artistic creation.
Born in Padua, Italy, in 1961, comic-strip artist and illustrator, a leading light in the renewal of Italian comic, he divides his time as a graphic artist, designer, musician and artist.
Marcello Jori was born in Merano on 12 December 1951. He currently lives and works in Bologna. Having obtained his degree from DAMS, in 1977 Jori embarked on his career as an artist, soon exhibiting in national and foreign galleries and museums. In the mid-seventies, Jori took his first tentative steps in certainconceptual streams, from which he soon moved away in an attempt to infuse art with a new life, a series of photographic works, in which he reinterprets a number of classical masterpieces in a modern key. In 1979, Jori painted himself on top of a ladder painting the fall of the angel, which marked a turning point in his artistic career. This painting displays a new expressive energy that featured in his works over the entire following decade.
Founded in 1921 as a “Workshop for the processing of brass and nickel silver sheet metal, with foundry”, Alessi has always stood out for the high quality of its products.
In almost a century of history, the company has gradually evolved to become one of the leading “Factories of Italian design”, capable of applying its expertise and excellence in design management to many different product types.
Open to change and international development, Alessi at the same time has a strong bond with the traditions and cultural background of its area and continues to be synonymous with handcrafted objects produced with the help of machines.
Since the Company's Foundation in 1921 the Majority of Alessi Products have Been Manufactured through the Cold Working of Metals, a Tradition that is Kept Alive Today by the Skilled Workers at the Crusinallo Plant in Omegna."p" Over time, Alessi also began to work with many other materials, such as porcelain, glass, wood, and plastic. A specific production method was developed for each one. Even when production takes place outside the Crusinallo plant, Alessi’s guidelines ensure the company’s original production quality standards, continuing to reconcile industrial technological complexity with an artisanal eye for detail. "p" The objects produced from the different materials are manufactured in various production plants across the world. They remain original Alessi objects in that they are conceived with the same design excellence and produced with the same attention to quality that sets the company’s products apart.
